Modernization and future proofing

Look at the image on the right, then at the image on the left. The image here on the left was originally made using tables and and some inline styles with the css embedded in the head of the document. When you pass the mouse over an image you will see the difference between the two types of HTML via an AJAX request call to the relevant page. It was a scrappy piece of htm/css that I inherited and needed an overhaul. The image on the right is the same web page with the tables removed and the new css put in a external file.

Click on an image to see the html or click on the links to be directed to the pages so you can check the source code yourself.

Tables based display (the old method)
The image here on the left was originally made using tables and some inline styles with the css embedded in the head of the document. It was a scrappy piece of htm/css and needed an overhaul. The tables also had to be removed. Click here to open the actual page with the table layout in a new window.Click on the image to see some of the HTML/CSS

No tables display (the current way ✔)
Here on the right is the same web page with the tables removed and the new css put in a external file. Clean markup without tables is becoming the way anhead on the internet and as you can see here, there need not be a continuity issue for a customer when such an update occurs. Click here to open the actual page with the table layout removed in a new window. Click on the image to see some of the HTML/CSS

Clearly there is little difference between the two in terms of display. You can contact me using this form if you wish to tell me something, want to give me some money, owe me some money or want to hire me.
